  1. 1. Watching everything you’ve ever known as home and loved as your own being washed away by sudden, heavy storms.
    2. The pages of books being torn haphazardly from their bindings and tossed into the fire to cleanse their knowledge.
    3. Calls for help unanswered because anyone who would notice is too petrified to make a move to offer aid.
    4. Watching cherry blossoms drifting like lost souls to the sooty ground as a fire blazes around smelling of spring.

    8. Spending your days lying on a sandy beach with the sun beating down on your neck, alone and broke.
    9. Smelling your favorite food, but not being privy to have even the slightest taste as someone else devours it whole.
