Day 288 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her pet.
Shannon: I love Jake. He let’s me sleep in the bed with him, he takes me on walks, and feeds me food under the table. He never calls me a bad dog, and he gives the best belly rubs. I can’t wait until he comes home.
Erin: I don’t think he loves me very much. He always leaves and when he does come home he’s always talking and playing with that little black rectangle he has. The little one with the brown hair pays me much more attention and feeds me most days when he forgets. I think she’s my new owner. I at least hope she’s my new owner.
What does human’s best friend have to say about things?

Nikki walks into her room to find two cats chittering on her bed. “Okay, out!” She picks up the fluffy white and gray cat. She deposits her outside her bedroom. The cat turns around, looking up at her with big green eyes. “No.” Nikki closes the door.
When she turns around, the second cat, a short haired cat with white, yellow, and reddish orange fur and dull blue eyes, had become Jacey.
“You know, Nala isn’t happy that you don’t take care of her,” Jacey states.
“She has Aunt Carina to take care of her,” Nikki says. She sits on the bed.
“She considers you her person,” Jacey states, “but is sad you neglect her.”
“She isn’t neglected. She’s practically smothered,” Nikki argues.
Jacey sighs, “Tell that to Nala. …She’s really cute.”
“She’s a pest.”
