Day 298 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write about a character with a unique upbringing.
Shannon: When I was young I slept in a tree, dangling from a tent. My parents took the family on a lot of trips because they were both nature photographers. For a while when we were young we never got to see them, but then one trip we were finally allowed to come along. I loved it. Maybe because we got to see so much beauty, or maybe just because it was nice to be a family again.
Erin: He was raised in a scientifically controlled environment to test parenting styles.
This childhood is not like the others.
Pelky Sisters 
Nikki grew up with her aunt, who is a boxer. Nikki sometimes had to go with her to her work, instead of a sitter. She learned a bit of boxing, but not enough to put it to much use. Her dad came around for holidays. Once she discovered chemistry, she devoted her life (and part of her bedroom) to it.
She didn’t relate to many stories she heard at school. So she typically keeps to herself.
