Sister vs. Sister: Mindful Eating Challenge – Pelky Sisters Podcast
I’m going to be honest and say that I wasn’t too thrilled about starting this challenge. In fact, I was avoiding it. The idea of eating in complete silence was not my idea of fun. I also thought I wouldn’t get much out of doing this for a week.
I’d done mindful eating once before at a past job where I learned a few techniques. I thought it was cool, but not something I would want to do for the rest of my life, let alone my next meal. Coming back to mindful eating through this challenge, I learned there was a lot that I had missed the first time around.
Turns out there’s a lot to learn from being more mindful, not only with eating, but in life. With all the screens, distractions, and constantly trying to hustle through life, we forget to pause and live in the moment. We rush through things like eating, and it’s a shame. Food is great and deserves to be appreciated along with many other things in life that we breeze through.
I highly suggest you take on this challenge and see what it does for you, because I truly believe testing out mindful eating could change the way you handle your own life. I know that’s what it has done for me, and I am super grateful for what I’ve learned.
