Writing Prompt: Day 292

292.jpgDay 292 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Your character believes they are being followed.

Shannon: Lately I’ve felt weird like there’s this presence that’s following me. I don’t think it’s a person, because if it is I never see them. Maybe it’s a ghost, or a guardian angel. Either way I never feel alone, and that’s not bad feeling.

Erin: When I was younger I just had a feeling that I was always being watched over. It wasn’t until I was older that I started to see her. My mother. She was gone and I wasn’t denying that. But her spirit was with me. No one would believe me, so I kept what I saw and heard to myself. For all they knew I was a motherless child, but at least I was sane.

Follow the leader.

Writing Prompt: Day 291

291Day 291 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: What does your character do right before falling asleep?

Erin: Prays.

Shannon: Runs through a list of everything she has to do tomorrow.

Bedtime.

Writing Prompt: Day 290

290Day 290 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: What does your character do right after waking up?

Erin: She presses the snooze button and goes back to sleep.

Shannon: She cuddles her dog for a bit then drags herself out of bed.

Time to get up.

Writing Prompt: Day 288

288.jpgDay 288 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her pet.

Shannon: I love Jake. He let’s me sleep in the bed with him, he takes me on walks, and feeds me food under the table. He never calls me a bad dog, and he gives the best belly rubs. I can’t wait until he comes home.

Erin: I don’t think he loves me very much. He always leaves and when he does come home he’s always talking and playing with that little black rectangle he has. The little one with the brown hair pays me much more attention and feeds me most days when he forgets. I think she’s my new owner. I at least hope she’s my new owner.

What does human’s best friend have to say about things?

Writing Prompt: Day 287

Day 287 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her enemy.

Erin: He’s little Mr. Popular now. He wasn’t always that way though. He used to be a little shit, and making friends did not come easy at that stage. I was his friend though. I made an effort. I tried to see good and I did. In fifth grade though he started dating Emily and all of the sudden finding friends was no longer so hard. Neither was losing one. When he abandoned me, I saw a side I really didn’t like and was unable to get over. I went from being one of the only ones who likes him to one of the only ones who dislikes him.

Shannon: The kid needs to be stopped. He not very bright and I don’t see him amounting to much. I told his parents they could consider military school, but they didn’t do it. Now I wonder how long it will take before their decision.

Let’s get a negatively bias opinion.

Writing Prompt: Day 286

286.jpgDay 286 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her significant other.

Shannon: I don’t know, I guess this is bad timing, but I’m thinking about breaking up with him. He’s been kind of dull lately. We used to have fun together. We used to mess with people and we were always getting into some kind of trouble. He made every day one to remember and now they’re one big boring blur. It’s like someone sedated him, and I can’t sit by and watch it anymore.

Erin: He tries to please everyone. For the most part he does. Only I’m his resting place, his guard goes down and at times I’m the one who faces the wrath of the stress everyone else causes him. The spurts are short lived and the good is so very good, but sometimes I wish he would be half as vulnerable with others as he can be with me.

Let’s here from their love.

Writing Prompt: Day 285

285.jpgDay 285 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her friend.

Erin: He’s one of those friends that you can always count on. He’ll drop everything at the drop of a hat if we need him. He’s literally the best.

Shannon:Jake is pretty crazy. He’s not afraid of anything, and that’s why he’s always fun to have around. There’s never a dull moment with him.

Why are they friends?

Writing Prompt: Day 284

284.jpgDay 284 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her teacher or mentor.

Shannon: Jake was assigned to me a year ago. I’m tutoring him so he can get into college. Everyone is really pleased with his progress, and I’m proud of what we’ve been able to accomplish. The only thing that bugs me is that no one seems to know he’s an artist, or maybe they just don’t want acknowledge it. He has problems talking notes and paying attention because he draws these elaborate cartoons in notebook instead. It’s like he’s been hit with inspiration halfway through math class. Then he goes back to writing down equations. I’m the last person to believe someone could make a steady career out of their art, but he’s really good. He’s original, and it seems to makes him happy. I know it’s not what his mom wants, but I think we should be focusing on getting him into a school with comic arts.

Erin: He is a good student. He’s not great though. He spends too much time socializing to ever be one of the great ones. Or maybe he is a great one. Maybe he has found the perfect balance.

What is the potential of this student?

Writing Prompt: Day 283

283Day 282 of 365 Days of Writing Prompts: Write one character from seven perspectives…today is his/her sibling.

Erin: He gets all the attention and I refuse to give him anymore.

Shannon: My brother doesn’t really like me anymore. We hardly ever talk. We mostly just argue now that we’re older. We hung out when we were younger, but I wouldn’t want to be a part of that anymore. Not with the crowd he hangs out with. I guess I can’t say I know a whole lot about him, except the fact that his new hobby seems to be spending as much time as possible in detention.

What does their sibling have to say?
